ANZAC Tribute.

World War 1 will always be a significant part in NZ and Australian History, specifically the invasion of Gallipoli, April 15th, 1915, where more the 50,000 Australians landed, and over 8556 NZ Soldiers landed on the Turkish Peninsula of Gallipoli.

Some videos about the Battle will be put into this slide along with some songs to go with them.


Video About the ANZAC Exhibit at Te Papa. This video tells the story of a Medic in the battle of Gallipoli, a Nurse and a Soldier in the Māori Battalion. This video tells the story from the New Zealand side of things.

Australian Version, This video tells the story of the invasion of Gallipoli on the Australian side of things, it has a more vast outlook and is overseeing the whole battle and the struggles of soldiers, not just 2.

Here are some of the first songs from World War 1:

This is one of the first songs. Pictures of the soldiers play throughout the background of this video. This song was sung and created by the Australian soldiers in World war 1, They created this song to sing at the hill of Achi Babi, which was never captured.

This is the Maori Battalion Marching Song. This song was played and sang by the Maori Battalion in world war 1, the soldiers marched to this song and chanted it throughout the battle.

Australian War hero songs. This song is a tribute to all the War Hero’s of World War 1 in the Australian army.
