Term Reflection

WALT: Reflect on our term.

What I enjoyed about our term was... ALMOST Everything. I really enjoyed our Yr6 Technology; Which was cooking.

I found cooking some of our food Very challenging.

What I could be BTB about for my term and slide is to not talk or Talk and do work at the same time. To make my slide BTB I could have coloured my slides or taken more photos.

If there's anything you want me to do or add put your suggestions in the comments!

Film festival

WALT: Make a film to present.

For our film festival we made this film, If you would like to watch have a go and tell us what you think!

Noah Barleywater Runs away

For our Reading activities, we have to read Noah Barleywater runs away.
The book is about a boy who runs away from his parents, it is a Fairytale, some of my favourite / weirdest parts of the story is when he picks an apple from a tree and it is rushed to the hospital. And when a dog starts talking.

My favourite character is an old man who is inhumanly fast and speedy, he is also a puppet-maker, his puppets come to life.

I would recommend this book to an older audience as it is hard to follow and it may be confusing.

Blog Graph / Statistics

WALT: Make a graph to show our statistics and find out what we need to do to make it better.

To make my blog more active and have no more posts is to do more, as a result of doing more I will be able to post more and bring out more content to bring in more viewers.

I can post more by blogging even when unnecessary or not required. I can post more by sharing most of the work we/I do, like mathematics and reading/literacy. This will bring in more viewers and make my blog more active and a more vast selection of work for people to view and comment/learn from.

Homeade chips.

Image result for homemade crisps
Credit to Moblog for images.

WALT: Create chips and experiment which is better, oven or microwave. As well as explain the science behind it.

For our food tech, we created homemade chips. We got tasked with the oven. Ours came out pretty good hut what we learned was not to put all of the oil we did. We found the cooking challenge as it took a while to cook.

I liked the taste as it was very salty and bitter and crunchy and good.

What you do to make it is.

Thinly Sliced potato chips.

Pour oil on top of them.

Salt well.

Put in the oven for 10 - 15 minutes on bake.

Eat.

I hope you learned something and can make these at home or try whenever you can.

Hokey Pokey.

WALT: Explain the Science of Hokey Pokey and how it's made.

For our Yr6 Tech, we made Hokey pokey, The main 3 ingredients we used were Golden Syrup, Sugar and baking soda.

In this video, we explain the science and what we could have changed to make it better.

You mix the sugar and Golden syrup in the pan, you turn to stove on and mix until there are no sugar crystals left. After this, we add a teaspoon of baking soda and vigorously mix it so it doesn't stick and becomes runny and bubbly. After this, you add it to the buttered pan and refrigerate it.

I found it challenging to Stir as it was hardening and needed to be fast.

I enjoyed the process and the tasting of the Experiment, I liked to eat it because It was very sweet.
