Hokey Pokey.

WALT: Explain the Science of Hokey Pokey and how it's made.

For our Yr6 Tech, we made Hokey pokey, The main 3 ingredients we used were Golden Syrup, Sugar and baking soda.

In this video, we explain the science and what we could have changed to make it better.

You mix the sugar and Golden syrup in the pan, you turn to stove on and mix until there are no sugar crystals left. After this, we add a teaspoon of baking soda and vigorously mix it so it doesn't stick and becomes runny and bubbly. After this, you add it to the buttered pan and refrigerate it.

I found it challenging to Stir as it was hardening and needed to be fast.

I enjoyed the process and the tasting of the Experiment, I liked to eat it because It was very sweet.
